iRacing

iRacing is a 2008 made subscription based racing simulator, it offers several categories including road, oval, dirt oval and dirt racing. Each of these categories each include a license class ranging from Rookie, D to A class and Pro class. Each license type offers a selection of racing series, some of which are short sprint challenges, while some races are endurance races that can range all from 3 hours to 12 hours and even 24 hours. 

I for the most part stick to road racing, where at the moment I am in the A class driving LMP2 (Le Mans Prototype) and drive the Dallara P217. I will also occasionally drive within the GT3 class, where i like to drive the BMW M4 GT3 car. 

Track wise I also have my preferences; my all time favourite track must be the 24 hours of Le Mans circuit, one of the fastest circuits in the world due to 3 long straights, with top speeds of at least 320km/h. You will also see me enjoy a lap around the unforgiving green hell, also called Nürburgring Nordschleife, a 24km long track with some fast straights, but many more unforgiving tight corners, where a tiny mistake can put you in the wall and mean the end of your race. 

At the moment I compete in a few categories on iRacing, and have gained what in my opinion is some good results.

• 29th of May 2022: Finished 16th.
